Arthropods of a soil/ leaf litter sample extracted using a catch-and-release Berlese Funnel. Specimens were usually caught alive and examined under a light microscope, mostly at 40x mag. Experiment was run approximately the entire month of June using a sample from Lake County, IL, USA. Includes springtails, myriapods, mites and protura.
