These photos were taken by Santiago Xavier Palacios Uquillas as part of a research project on the diversity of floral visitors to Phytelephase aequatorialis, supervised by Rommel Montúfar, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE www.puce.edu.ec).

Note the species diversity in Staphylinid and Curculionid families !
