New Observation Fields

I've finally added the observation fields to accommodate the data needed for the formal monitoring project (all but the specific buildings). This is something of an experiment - I may have to set up a separate project. Meanwhile, if those of you walking dedicated routes could fill out these new observation fields, I'd appreciate it. Feedback is welcome. For those of you contributing observations of window collision victims here that are not part of the formal monitoring team, the only fields that are required are (as before) - whether the bird is dead or alive; whether the cause of death is likely to have been a window strike. Of course, you're free to fill out the rest as well if you'd like. Thanks, all!

Three buildings to watch; a reminder; and we now have a Bird Safe Philly freezer!

Thanks for helping https://www.birdsafephilly.org/ by reporting window strike victims here! There are three buildings downtown, not along any of our formal monitoring routes, that could use extra eyes if you happen to live, work, or just find yourself passing near any of them. They are:
Giant (60 North 23rd St. 19103);
Condo (under construction - 2100 Hamilton St. 19130);
Kimmel Center (300 S Broad St. 19102)

Please remember to write the entire date (day/month/year) on the label you include with any specimens you collect.
Also see that we now have a Bird Safe Philly freezer, to which the security guard will direct you when you drop off your specimens to the Academy.
