These environmentalists and outdoors lovers support a border wall with Mexico.

Many are adamantly opposed to any wall cutting off the flow of already decimated species, and are suing to overturn President Donald Trump's emergency declaration and suspension of environmental laws at the border.

iNaturalist Training: Become a citizen scientist!

Tomorrow morning!

This amazing opportunity is offered in conjunction with the San Diego Natural History Museum in preparation for this year’s City Nature Challenge. This presentation will include speakers from California State Fish and Wildlife, San Diego Natural History Museum, and Cabrillo National Monument. Each speaker will focus on how iNaturalist is used at their respective wildlife refuge or national park/monument!

New Video Shows Damage Wrought by Trump’s Border Wall.

Drone footage of new border wall in New Mexico shows that the Trump administration's border militarization is already damaging ecosystems and wildlife. Trump waived 25 laws that protect clean air, clean water, public lands and endangered wildlife to speed construction of 20 miles of new walls.

First signs of border wall construction spotted at National Butterfly Center.

A gigantic yellow earth mover arrived on National Butterfly Center land Sunday afternoon, the first sign of the beginnings of border wall construction in that protected habitat.

Sewage spill continues to pollute Tijuana River for third straight day.

A sewage spill that federal officials said started Monday night south of the border continues to flood the Tijuana River with millions of gallons of raw effluent.
A ruptured collector pipe in southeast Tijuana is leaking roughly 7 million gallons a day of sewage into the river, according to the U.S. section of the International Boundary and Water Commission.

Environmentalists suing to block President Donald Trump from constructing a wall along the Mexican border say the project would imperil endangered species including the Quino checkerspot butterfly and the Mexican flannel bush.

Sewage Contaminates South County Beaches, Health Officials Issue Warning.

The Department of Environmental Health has issued a water contact closure for beaches at the Tijuana Slough National Wildlife Refuge and Border Field State Park due to sewage-contaminated flows from the Tijuana River entering the United States.

The closure area includes the ocean shoreline from the south end of Seacoast Drive in Imperial Beach to the International Border.
