Bark is sometimes removed from trees to create medicines and other concoctions. The removal of bark may seriously damage or even eventually kill the tree. This project can be used to show the effects of bark removal on tree growth and survival. There may be an increase in the number of insects or fungi attacking the tree as a result of bark removal.
