Bullock County, Alabama Biodiversity Project

This is a joint project between Auburn University Museum of Natural History (AUMNH) (http://aumnh.org), the Big Cedar Education Foundation (http://bigcedareducationfoundation.org/) and the South Highlands Middle School (Union Springs, AL) to document the biodiversity of Bullock County, Alabama. The goals are to enhance the seventh grade life science curriculum, promote scientific observation and increase awareness of species diversity in the natural spaces of Bullock County. Students will make observations at school, home and as they travel around the county. AUMNH staff will assist in identification and guidance as the students conduct their observations. The Big Cedar Education Foundation financed the training and visit for the students to tour AUMNH. The public at-large is encouraged to assist by entering observations made within the county. less ↑
