Citizen Science Connect with Nature: Butterflies and...

This Citizen Science project designed and implemented by Emirates Nature-WWF, under the Connect with Nature programme, aims to connect the desire of UAE residents into taking active participation on contributing to conservation efforts. Through this citizen science project, the participants will learn more about the species of Butterflies and Dragonflies that inhabit the UAE territory.

Our Emirates Nature-WWF experts and passionate naturalists join efforts to provide professional guidance and advice to the participants during all the process of identification and this way achieve excellence.

The activity of data collection consists on the reporting thru graphic evidence of butterflies and dragonflies observed in any area of the national territory, if the participant wants to submit extra information such as age, gender, specific behavior or host plant (for the case of the butterflies) that will be possible as well thru the particular observation.

All information reported and correctly identified thru iNaturalist will become automatically part of the Global Biodiversity Information Facility data and will be readily available to be used in further studies or scientific documents such as articles, papers, and reports. less ↑
