Get ready for CNC:NYC with virtual events this week!

CNC:NYC is just 3 days 13 hours away! We have two great virtual events this week to help you get ready!

Tuesday, April 27 - 6:30p - Making Good iNaturalist Observations Webinar - Looking to get better/faster IDs on iNat? Come to this webinar to get some tips. Register here.

Wednesday, April 28 - 5p - Cit/Community Science Happy Hour - Part of a monthly series of virtual events, April's CCS Happy Hour will focus on making iNaturalist IDs. Grab a snack and a beverage and let's do some science together! Register here.

Then, each day of the CNC, we'll have virtual kickoffs/meet-ups so we can have some friendly chats about our city's biodiversity. Whether you've already started observing or you're getting ready to get out, stop by and say hi. We'll be doing a very quick (5 min) intro to CNC and then answering questions and chatting about what we're excited to see! Each one has a separate registration.

Friday, April 30 - 12:30p - Day 1 Virtual Kickoff - Register for Day 1 kickoff here.

Saturday, May 1 - 9a - Day 2 Virtual Kickoff Register for Day 2 Kickoff here.

Sunday, May 2 - 10a - Day 3 Virtual Kickoff Register for Day 3 Kickoff here.

Monday, May 3 - 12p - Day 4 Virtual (Midday) Kickoff Register for Day 4 Kickoff here.

And just so they're all listed in one place, here are the virtual events we have planned for the identification period of CNC (May 4-May10):

Wednesday, May 5 - 12p - Diversity Digest: Highlights from City Nature Challenge Join Hudson River Park for a review of all the awesome observations that were made during CNC. Register here.

Wednesday, May 5 - 5p-7p - CNC:NYC Virtual ID Party No experience necessary! Join us to help increase our species numbers. We'll do a quick overview of how to make IDs and then ID together while on zoom. Register via Eventbrite here.
