Medicinal Plants of Tambakboyo Reservoir

Indonesian people have used various plant species as a part of lifestyle including for medicine. Unfortunately, there are only a few data records on the use of plants as medicine, especially in traditional way. Through this project, we invite all communities which explore the Tambakboyo Reservoir to contribute recording the local wisdom in using plants as medicine. Tambakboyo Reservoir is a potential location which located in Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta in the form of green open space in urban areas. However, it holds great biodiversity potential. Some of the potentials that exist there are medicinal plants. As the time goes by, building establishment is developing, cafe, resorts and gym have been built recently in the upper eastern part. The constructions surely made few impacts to the existing biodiversity since it was done by land clearing, thus some species of plants may become extinct locally. Hence data collection about the diversity of medicinal plant that exist there is priceless. less ↑
