Everglades National Park Observations

Everglades National Park welcomes wildlife observations from all visitors, scientists, and taxon specialists. Newly verified species can be added to our official park species lists. Our Interpretive division already makes species lists available to the public. Our Biological Branch is active in long-term monitoring of many species in the park as well as assessments of biodiversity, biological modeling, and reporting of species status, distribution and abundance. By making this available to various divisions of park staff and easily accessible to the public, we can learn more about the more secretive species of the park, learn about newly identified species (yes, this still happens!), as well as learn from visitors who enjoy our special Park. less ↑
