One Swallow makes a Summer. But lots of other plants and animals migrate or flower or produce leaves, and there is a wealth of information in their emergence and disappearance times.

Unlike Europe and North America where everything is dominated by the appearance and disappearance of the sun, on our region it is drought and rain that governs our cycles. The cold fronts in the Cape and Thunderstorms on the highveld and low veld. The first cold snaps of winter and the return of summer do play a role.

This project is to document the things we look for with the changing seasons.
