Indian Trail Chapter, Texas Master Naturalist Program

Mike Sills loves the outdoors, airplanes, cool trucks and his wife, Ginny. A graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelors of Science in Forestry, his love for nature began with family camp outs and the Boy Scouts, at which he achieved Eagle Scout. He has been an ISA Certified Arborist since 1997.

Mike began his forestry career in Louisiana and after moving back to Dallas, he worked his way up to General Foreman with Asplundh Tree Expert Company, where he worked for eight years. His experience also includes that of an Industrial Refrigeration Engineer with Emergency Ice Inc. for eight years, all the while, keeping up his ISA Certified Arborist status and operating a small tree service. Maintaining his ISA credentials paid off in December 2016 when he was hired by the Texas A&M Forest Service as Regional Urban Forester, Dallas Region.
