A curiosity about science and dedication to conserving nature led to the establishment of our Florence Shelly Wetlands Preserve. We wish to honor that legacy and hope that this project will encourage you to explore the incredible diversity of life found here. Any observations of plants and animals, including non-native invasive species, that you add to iNaturalist will be available for scientific study and will support the conservation efforts of The Nature Conservancy in Pennsylvania. We're particularly interested in sightings on all our preserves as these data can help us to track changes in the distribution and relative abundance of species over time, as well as phenology (timing of biological events), and help us with the long-term management of our lands across Pennsylvania and beyond. less ↑
