Calling all curators for a virtual volunteer opportunity!

As we near the end of this growing season, there are many observations of our target plants that need to be added to the project. The process of adding an observation to the project is called data curation and we could use some help with it! This is a volunteer position and can be done from the comfort of your own home. Curating data is a simple process but is a task too large for just one person. The only things you need are access to a computer and some plant ID skills. No worries if you're rusty, you'll catch on quick as you sort through the observations on iNat. If you're interested in volunteering for this position, you can message me directly on iNat at val_neuhausser or send me an email at vneuhausser@outdoors.org and I'll get back to you with more info.

Don't forget to shoot the fruit! We're still collecting observations on fruting times along the AT. Look out for those bright red fruits on plants like hobblebush (left), painted trillium (middle), and bunchberry (right). Your contribution is greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your consideration and happy iNaturalizing!
