Georgia Southern Biological Survey

In 2015, faculty and students from the Biology department at Georgia Southern University began an initiative to observe and document all vertebrate species on the Georgia Southern campus, known as the Georgia Southern Biological Survey (GSBS). Beginning in 2018 we expanded our surveys to include other groups such as butterflies and odonates. Our ultimate goal is to have as complete an inventory of biodiversity as possible. This will help Georgia Southern manage its campus sustainably and help determine impacts of future campus activities and development. Any member of the community can get involved by uploading your observations of species of the GSU campus to our project. Help GSBS expand our knowledge of biodiversity at Georgia Southern! less ↑
