From insect eggs, to hummingbird nests--we want to see what is living in your neighborhood. Take pictures of the eggs or seeds you find from multiple angles, and then share here. Our Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County scientists will be looking forward to see how many different eggs you find!
During these times of the coronavirus pandemic, please be sure to follow your local government public health guidelines. If you do go out into your neighborhood be sure to practice social distancing (6ft apart from non-household members), wear a cloth mask, and wash your hands when you return home!
Lastly, please be mindful of wildlife! As this is breeding season for many birds and other animals, we do not want to disturb their nesting activity. It is in fact illegal to do so for birds. If you can snap a picture of a nest or eggs from a safe distance, so as not to disturb the birds then do so. If you can't get a picture without disturbing the let's err on the side of wildlife safety!
