Indiana Invasive Watch has been created to observe the location and migration of non-native species, specifically in Indiana. Invasive species often do not have local predators to feed upon and thus lower diversity of the area. Local species must travel to a place where there is less competition for resources. The focus of Indiana Invasive Watch is in public parks and land. This information can be used to follow trends and correlations to better understand and limit the spread of invasive species and encourage the use of native species whenever possible.
