LLELA will be hosting a 'Beginning iNaturalist' workshop tomorrow, 10/20/2015, from 7pm to 8:45 pm at the Lewisville Public Library. If you're new to iNaturalist this is a great venue to learn things you may have missed or ask those questions you may have about the details of navigation, observation entries, etc......

Ok fellow iNatr's. We got a letter from Lisa Cole today with a special request. See below:

Fearless explorers,

The bird femur disappeared from our Birding 101 teaching box over a year ago, and I have not replaced it. It was cut in cross section to show the hollow internal anatomy of bird bones, and was a neat teaching prop. Would you keep an eye out for a replacement on your outdoor journeys? It should be from a large species, like a heron or a vulture, if possible.
