MKE Bird Counts

Help monitor birds at the MKE site. There are lots!

You can load your observations direct to NatureWatch NZ in the field using the App

  • or take photos and record numbers to upload later.

We are using standard 5 Minute Bird Counts at each of 12 sites, some near the lake and others at patches of forest. See the map here http://mke-birds.naturemap.nz

A good activity for groups and photographers.
