This project is to collect incidences of bird-window collisions in Michigan. Glass poses a significant threat to birds, but solutions are available for existing glass surfaces and new construction. This project will help to identify "problem" buildings or glass surfaces with the hopes that solutions can be proposed to public buildings, especially. Observations from homeowners are welcome as well, to help understand trends such as which conditions may influence strikes, which species may be more vulnerable, etc. The average home kills 2 birds per year from window strikes. Photos from multiple angles are encouraged (top, side, underside). Please be precise with the location of where the bird was found (e.g. south-facing window). Thank you for your contribution!
