You wouldn't believe the diversity that exists right here in suburban Colorado Springs!

Over the past 13 years that I've lived in this busy residential neighborhood, my yard has been visited by a Black Bear, Deer, Foxes, A Pygmy Owl, a Wild Turkey, and 100's of common mammals, insects, reptiles and birds. Using no pesticides and allowing my yard to be a non threatening sanctuary, I have encouraged and introduced well over 50 different species of plants as well. This is my attempt to record all my observations in one place.

I am simply letting everything grow freely in my yard, and attempting to identify every single plant species that comes up! I do garden a part of the yard, and have collected seeds from wild local areas, introducing them to my lively little 1/10 acre.
