New KFN Projects

Please note that the Natural History of the Kingston Study Area project is now considered a legacy project by the Kingston Field Naturalists (KFN). This project is the old "traditional" type of project and will be left in place, but it is not being actively maintained at this time.

Instead, the KFN has established several other projects that use the new "collection" type, and they are based on either a taxonomy of interest or a specific area such as a nature reserve. The collection type of project does not rely on anyone adding observations or joining. It simply collects observations within the parameters of the project. Joining a project shows that you are interested in it and enables you to get updates from the project. It will also show up in your list of projects which may make it easier to find.

The new projects are collected under an "umbrella" project which you can find at the following address:

2020 BioBlitz Results

You still have a week to get your observations added to the project but we're already off to a great start with 1400 observations of nearly 600 species.
