This project is designed to aid land and wildlife management agencies to document the distribution of beavers in northeast Oregon. It can be used by both agency personnel and the general public.
We are interested not only in sightings of actual beavers, but also sightings of sign that beaver have been in an area, including tracks, scat, chewed sticks, cut trees or shrubs, dams, paths or tunnels, scent marker mud patches, or other indications that beavers were present in an area.
Given that Oregon's wildlife regulations allow beaver trapping, you are encouraged to make your sightings private or obscured to protect the animals you observe.
