This species is endemic to Papua New Guinea and known from montane ranforest in far north of Western Province and the far south of West Sepik Province (P. Oliver. pers. coms. 2014).

The population status of this species is unknown and is rarely collected in areas where it has been observed (P. Oliver. pers. coms. 2014)

This species was collected in lower montane rainforest, is arboreal and nocturnal (P. Oliver. pers. coms. 2014)

There is no use or trade in this species.
