NYBG EcoQuest February 2018 – Wrap Up

HUNT FOR HEDERA

February 1–28
Thank you to everyone who contributed Hedera sightings. Prior to your efforts there were 131 occurrences of Hedera documented in New York City. Today there are 1374! The Pacific Northwest was overrun by this invasive before taking action. We are not going to let that happen here. We hope to see you at one of the practice sessions for the BIG event, the City Nature Challenge, April 27–30. There is one in every borough. The first one is Saturday, March 3rd at Randall's Island Park.

Observations: 1242
Observers (39): @elizajsyh, 308; @danielatha, 253; @susanhewitt, 104; @plnthunter22, 96; @spaulino, 73.
Places: Manhattan, 645; Bronx, 440; Staten Island, 85; Brooklyn, 49; Queens, 22.
