OSA Nature Counts! with iNaturalist is an important new program to monitor plants and animals on the Open Space Authority's lands using the free iNaturalist app. Armed with a smartphone, or digital camera and GPS, families, student groups, and nature enthusiasts record their field observations of animal and plant species and upload to iNaturalist’s online database. The Open Space Authority invites all nature lovers to become citizen scientists and help ensure that our rare and endangered species survive well past the 21st century. The iNaturalist Project will take place at the scenic Rancho Cañada del Oro Open Space Preserve and the picturesque Coyote Valley Open Space Preserve in south Santa Clara County. See dates below:
