Data from project included into iMapInvasives

Good morning!

I wanted to jump on board again with journal posts for the PA iMapInvasives project on iNaturalist. I apologize for the long delay since the last one.

I am excited to see so many observations added to our project (almost 7,500). This project aims to collect information on invasive species (plants, animals, insects) found in Pennsylvania. Data collected is later included in the online iMapInvasives database where it is used by a plethora of natural resource professionals as well as community scientists who have an interest in invasive species and learning of their known distributions in the Commonwealth.

If you know of other members on iNaturalist who are collecting invasive species data in Pennsylvania, please invite them to join our project so their data can be put into iMapInvasives as well.

Thanks!

Hello, there. I was sent an invite to join this project and so I did, happily. I do have a question about observations, though. I know some projects just immediately will take observations that a member has and include them if they meet the requirements to be in it. I honestly don't know which of my observations meet the requirements or not, as I am not from PA, but I know I do have some that would meet the requirements. It doesn't look like they immediately were included. My question: Is there a way to have them added automatically based on meeting the criteria? Or will I have to do it all manually? If I do have to manually do it, I will, but it'll take a while. I just want to know if there's an easier and quicker workaround. Thanks!

Hey, I might've overlooked something but I'd be happy to join this project as a member but am not sure how to. I have a decent amount of invasive species data in PA and I'm frequently observing more. Let me know if there's some way I could. Thanks!

Additional comment - I'm finally going through and adding observations that fit the parameters. I've noticed that rock pigeons are on the list but feral pigeons (the type of rock pigeon in the US) is not. I'd recommend/suggest/request adding that to the list of accepted species, if possible. There's a LOT of observations in PA of feral pigeons and not nearly as many that are labeled as "rock pigeon". Thanks!
