The purpose of this project is to monitor specific sites in and around Phoenix Oregon for pollinator type, diversity and number over a ten year period. The author invites the public to participate in a defined protocol which they can carry out in their back yard on specific monitoring dates twice yearly.

As described by the Xerces society, a Pollinator count will "...efficiently document bee diversity and abundance on

pollinator habitat plantings in order to measure their

success in supporting pollinators, or to document changes

in the bee community over the years after seeding. Plantings
can include meadows, hedgerows, cover crops, or field trials
of pollinator plant seed mixes." less ↑
