Welcome!

Welcome to the Plants at Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center project! The goal of this project is to help visitors to CBEC recognize and appreciate the diverse plant life in this special environment. Situated on a peninsula jutting out into the Chesapeake from the Eastern Shore just south of the Bay Bridge, CBEC includes a variety of different habitats, including beds of submerged aquatic vegetation, salt marsh, meadow, ponds and woods. Its plants are ever-changing, as tides ebb and flow, seasons pass, and sea level rises. We value your observations and input about identification. Thanks for your contributions!
