1. Comment mesurer un arbre ?
   Tout d'abord, mesurez 1,3 mètre à la verticale du tronc de l'arbre pour identifier l'endroit où vous allez commencer à mesurer la circonférence. Prenez ensuite votre ruban de mesure (ou votre ficelle), enroulez-le autour du tronc et marquez le premier point de chevauchement. Notez la circonférence du tronc (en centimètres) dans l'application iNaturalist. 2. Mon arbre a plus d'un tronc - comment puis-je le mesurer ?
   Si votre arbre à plusieurs troncs, veuillez mesurer chaque tronc (à 1,3 mètre) séparément, et additionner ces mesures pour entrer la circonférence de votre arbre. Un bon exemple d'arbre nécessitant ce type de mesure est le lilas. Indiquez le nombre total de tiges dans le champ " Nombre de tiges ".

3. Que faire si je n'ai pas de jardin ? Puis-je quand même participer ?
   Oui ! Nous acceptons tous les arbres appartenant à des particuliers. Pourquoi ne pas encourager votre école, votre lieu de culte ou votre complexe d'appartements à participer ? Ou encore, faites équipe avec vos voisins pour ajouter leurs arbres au projet.

4. Comment puis-je en savoir plus sur les arbres à Montréal ?

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I measure a tree?
   First, measure 1.3 metres vertically up the tree trunk to identify where you will start your circumference measurement. Then take your measuring tape (or string) and wrap it around the entire trunk and mark the first point of overlap. 2. My tree has more than one trunk – how do I measure it?
   If your tree has multiple stems, please measure each trunk (at 1.3 metres) separately, and add these measurements together to enter the circumference for your tree. A good example of a tree that might need this type of measurement is a Lilac. Indicate the total number of stems in the "Number of Stems" field

3. What if I don’t have a backyard? Can I still participate?
   Yes! We accept any privately-owned trees. Why not encourage your school, place of worship, or apartment complex to participate? Or, team up with your neighbours to add their trees to the project.

4. How can I learn more about trees in Montreal?
