Getting Started...Our Dirty Dozen

We need all the help we can get here on the Tutukaka Coast to control the invasive weed species that threaten our beautiful coastline, communities, waterways and forests.

We've started with our Dirty Dozen:
Aristea (Aristea Eckloni)
Cape Ivy (Senecio angulatus)
Climbing Asparagus (a.scandens)
Contoneaster (c.laucophyllus, c.franchetii)
Wild /Kahli Ginger (hedychium gardnerianum)
Japanese Honey Suckle (Lonicera japonica)
Mothplant (Araujia hortorum)
Queen of the Night (Cestrum nocturnum)
Sweet Pea Shrub (Polygala myrtifolia)
Tobacco Weed (Solanum mauritianum)
Tree Privet (Ligustrum lucidum)
Wilding Pines/Conifer (pinus sp. ..)

Come join us to identify, report and control these weed species(along with any other suspects)!
