San Antonio Water System is committed to promoting water conservation across its 930 square mile service area, including Bexar county and parts of surrounding counties. Landscape watering accounts for a significant portion of municipal water use.
As urban areas expand, home landscapes are even more important in managing our water resources and ensuring wildlife have a place in our corner of Texas.
SAWS encourages you to join the GardenStyleSA project to identify and learn about all the plants, pollinators, birds and other wildlife that share your yard. If you want to expand your landscape habitat, SAWS has programs to help you do just that. Visit GardenStyleSA.com for more details and gardening resources.
Join the project and get out into your yard to discover and share your observations. If you don’t know what the plant, insect or other creature is, iNaturalist and our SAWS Conservation experts will help you identify it. Be sure to mark plants as “cultivated” if someone planted it and remember you can set the geoprivacy level on an observation. Enjoy!
