The purpose of this project is:

To record the distribution of seaweeds on the southern African coastline.

Scope includes: Green, Brown and Red macroalgae - any seaweed big enough to identify in the field.

Photomicrographs of phytoplankton, microscopic forms and details etc. also welcome.

To collect photos of southern African seaweeds suitable for field guide identification.

How to contribute:
