Visit to hills near Watchet, Somerse with Somerset Rare Plants Group

Great set of calcareous plants on the lime-rich clays of these coastal hills; it's an unusual habitat - especially for northern Somerset where acid heaths or neutral grasslands are more common.
Nit Grass (Gastridium ventricosum), Wild clary (Salvia verbenaca) and Rough Marsh-mallow (Althaea hirsuta) were the top plants for me today.
