Thanks to all SACReD divers, and contributing taxonomists!

Job well done, SACReD divers and associates. We have surpassed our goal of 1,000 records by the end of 2018, and have now reached more than 1,400.

From our survey results between 2007 and 2016, almost 500 marine species from South Australia have entered into the system , plus dozens of currently undescribed (unnamed) species. Also included in our group set are some first species records for South Australia, and several extensions of the published geographic range.

The SACReD records have contributed to numerous species-specific and location-specific pages on iNaturalist. some of these will be listed in future posts, for those of you who've not yet seen them.

Thanks to all the taxonomists from SA, other parts of Australia and overseas, who have assisted our project in 2018 and 2019.
