The Great Kererū Count 2018 has almost come to an end for another year.

First off - we’d like to thank everyone who participated in the count and shared their kererū observations.
We would also like to put out a big thanks to the curators and iNaturalist NZ team for all the hours they have put in over the last 10 days.

Although the GKC2018 ends tonight, as with every year we allow a couple of extra days for those observations that have not yet been added. Please note this is not an extension to keep adding new observations to this year's count - any observations must have been within the date range 21 September to 30 September.

Now the count has ended for another year we encourage you to keep on reporting observations of kererū which can then be added to https://inaturalist.nz/projects/kereru-discovery-trust

Thank you all again for the amazing effort this year!

Ngā mihi nui,
Tony Stoddard
