Plants, like animals, are host to complex microbial communities. These microbes contribute to plant growth, defense and nutrient acquisition - among many other functions. This citizen science project aims to quantify country-wide variation in the microbial communities that associate with plants, and to understand how biotic (plant species, insect populations, etc) and abiotic factors (elevation, sunlight, rain) affect the structure of plant associated microbial communities. less ↑
