Hi Eaters,
Quick update: I removed the observation field "does this observation feature an animal eating a plant, animal or fungus?" from the project because it felt a bit redundant. Given the name of our project it should be pretty clear what kinds of observations we are looking for. If we start to get inappropriate observations I'll add it back.

This is not a 'thing' being eaten.
It was a living lizard, and we watched quietly as its life ended.
I don't want a tag saying 'thing being eaten' on my post.

As the observer all I can do is remove my two obs from your project. But the tags are still there.
I wouldn't object to being in your project if the 'thing' is worded better.
We already had the interactions for South African obs.
@dianastuder great point. I was searching for a short word to encapsulate all taxa and couldn't immediately think of one ("wildlife" seems to exclude plants and fungi, for instance). But your comment inspired me to think more deeply and I remembered "organism." We now use that word in the observation fields.
Thank you.
On my obs you have reworded the question
but your answer still shows as
thing being eaten
This is the workaround South Africa uses
https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/interactions-s-afr
With these observation fields
Passive Partner to: (Interaction):
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/20996653
URL for "partner" observation:

I don't think I can change the observation fields on your observation after it is already submitted. You could try removing the observation fields and then re-adding!
It's a default - text in black. As the observer I can't change it.
I have removed my obs from the project.
Still says 'thing being eaten'
