Hello. I am a amateur naturalist of New England. I teach math and science at Twinfield Union School in Vermont. I like to garden, adventure in the woods, grow shiitake mushrooms, hitchhike, and look after our area's eastern pearl shell mussels.

I grew up in Concord, Massachusetts and skated local ponds, played in the woods, and canoed the local rivers (Assabet, Sudbury, Concord). I am a fan of Thoreau.
