I like to call myself a biophiliac - I'm interested in any and every organism in the wild. I have some training in botany (B.S. in Biology from UCLA, long ago) but went off into the biotech direction professionally, so I'm an amateur at identifications. I've lived in Southern California, Northeast Ohio, and now in the Triangle in North Carolina, so my observations are concentrated around those geographies.
