I bought a house in 2011 and planted a California native garden. Then the animals started arriving.

My doctorate is in bioinorganic chemistry, examining how the metal centers in enzymes react with oxygen. However, I've always loved animals, especially amphibians and reptiles.

I am excited to be part of the Los Angeles Natural History Museum's Citizen Science Project, since I had been taking photos of the critters which share my city with me for the past half decade for no purpose other than pure curiosity.
