I'm an avian ecologist who studies birds and their habitat in the Great Basin and I teach courses in ornithology and conservation and management of passerine birds at Humboldt State University. Most of my work has been focused in central Nevada, western Nevada, and eastern California. I am interested in riparian communities of passerine birds, as well as the sampling methods and modeling tools we use to understand bird occurrence and distribution. I'm also a member of the Nevada Bird Records Committee.
