I enjoy all aspects of nature but I have a special fondness for Southern California natives. I live in the community of Harmony Grove in San Diego County and have been planting my yard with native California plants. I live in a wild land urban interface next to native chaparral/coastal sage scrub open space which is under threat of development. I am using iNaturalist to broaden my knowledge of both native and invasive species and to document the flora and fauna I see before it is gone.
