Golden Currant
The Golden Currant (Ribes aureum) is popping right now in the garden, which is a sure sign that spring has arrived! Golden Currant bushes produce a tart, edible berry that is often made into jellies today, and were used as food and medicine by many tribes across Idaho. Birds and other pollinators love these drought tolerant bushes, and so do we!
