Walsh Ranch BioBlitz Surprising Find!
Twelve naturalists logged 910 observations of more than 430 species at the Walsh Ranch pocket prairie and surrounding natural area during the 2024 City Nature Challenge. One of the observations was of the Five-Spotted Bogus Yucca Moth, Prodoxus quinquepunctella. This observation is the only record of this elusive species from the entire DFW City Nature Challenge and only the 4th Research Grade observation ever made in North Texas.
