This Blue Duck, together with another one, were swimming up and down beside the Tongariro River bank, at Turangi, NI, New Zealand. Seemingly to be a couple vigilant on the occult nest on the river bank under some shrubs on ground that are plenty of curved branches touching the flowing waters: a perfect hidden dry spot with direct water access. I stayed there along aprox. two hours observing from about 10 meters away, making some good shots under the nice evening summer sunlight. They gradually come more and more comfortable with my presence to the point they come walking near me on the sand bank where I was sitting and shooting. I believe this trust come from the trout fisherman that frequent this point on the River.
