Description: The Red-breasted Nuthatch is a small tree dweller that moves quickly over branches and trunks looking for food. It has a long pointed beak, a short cinnamon colored tail, and a mustard yellow chest. It has short wide wings and black stripe across the eye.

Habitat: Mixed forests.
Fun Facts: Red-breasted Nuthatches put tree resin around the entrance to their nests. This could be to protect from predators.
