The Blue-crowned Hanging Parrot (Loriculus galgulus) is a small (length: 13 cm (5.1 in)) mainly green parrot found in forested lowlands from Thailand to Borneo.
It is an uncommon breeding resident in Singapore.
It inhabits parks and wooded areas.
It is a small green parrot with red uppertail. The male has a blue crown patch, a yellow nape patch and a red breast patch. The adult has a dark bill, while the juvenile has a yellowish bill.
