Chasmodes bosquianus, the Striped blenny, is a species of combtooth blenny found in the western Atlantic ocean, from New York to Florida.

Biology 3

Commonly found in oyster beds and on hard bottom, retreating, in winter, to deeper water. Oviparous (Ref. 205). Eggs are demersal and adhesive (Ref. 205).

Size 4

Maximum size: 150 mm TL

Diagnostic description 5

Brown with wavy dark and light lines and spots along side (Ref. 26938). Compared with C. longimaxilla, maxillary length usually less than 15.5% and has 12 gill rakers (Ref. 43469).
