The white-bordered gray or salmon-colored cerata and the white line running down the tail are unmistakable. While they are present all the way from Alaska to San Diego, they are considerably more common in the intertidal north of Bodega Bay.

Habitat 6

Depth Range: Intertidal to 37 m.

Habitat: Usually on rocks, occasionally on mud
